Our therapies
ARC offers a range of therapies provided free of charge. To learn more about our therapies, please see our services calendar or get in touch with us directly.
One-to-one therapies
We offer a number of one-to-one sessions such as counselling and complementary therapies. These one-to-one sessions are offered to people with a cancer diagnosis and to family members or loved ones. The complementary therapies include reflexology, acupuncture, and manual lymph draining.
Weekly Classes
Theses classes once a week, you join when you wish by registration. Classees include yoga, yogalates, chair yoga, relaxation, reflexology through the hands, self acupressure to reduce cancer related symptoms such as fatigue and anxiety, stress management and mindfulness. Family and loved ones are welcome to join these classes that take place on Zoom
Survivorship programmes
ARC delivers various survivorship programmes that may be helpful to people at different stages.
Some may be beneficial if you are recently diagnosed or you are on long-term treatments others may be specific to the type of cancer diagnosed. They are delivered once a week on average over a period of 6 weeks.
Support groups
ARC runs a number of support groups and group therapies that allow people whose lives have been touched by cancer to come together.
We offer a combination of physical therapies, such as yoga and pilates, as well as outlets for tension through creative and stress management sessions.

What we offer
ARC offers a range of complementary therapies free of charge in group classes and workshops. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, all sessions are currently online via Zoom.
Counselling
Counselling for people and their family members to help deal with the fear of a cancer diagnosis.
Acupuncture
Acupuncture is used to address the side effects of treatment and helps reduce anxiety.
Manual Lymph Drainage
Manual lymph drainage is a specialised treatment for cancer-related lymphoedema.
Reflexology
Reflexology is a very gentle therapy that promotes relaxation.
Chair Yoga
This four-week chair yoga course can help reduce the impact of chronic illnesses and can help with stress management and coping with pain.
Stress Management
Teaches coping technique that can be put into daily practice to minimise stress.
Pilates
Teaches how to use safe and supportive body movement.
Cancer Thrive & Survive
Helpful to those who have finished treatment or who may be on to long term maintenance treatment.
Yoga
To help relax, breathe and cope with stress, anxiety and enhance wellbeing.
